Adjust prostheses more quickly and profitably.
The WriteFit® Contact Marker is a patented precision instrument designed to mark the exact points of interproximal contact on crowns, onlays, and other restorations—so adjustments are accurate the first time. Compared to floss and mylar articulating paper, the Contact Marker shows you precisely where to reduce. Less guessing. Less remake. Faster crown delivery.
Why dentists use it
- Pinpoint precision on tight interproximal contacts, especially on porcelain restorations.
- Less chair time per case—identify the high spot in seconds, reduce, reseat.
- Patented method (US Patent 9,504,545 B2), invented by Dr. R. Lewis McLeod.
- Fits your existing workflow—handle ergonomics mirror a standard explorer or pen.
How it works
- Seat the restoration as usual.
- Use the bin-angled tip to draw graphite onto the proximal contact surface.
- Reseat—the graphite transfers to the exact point of high contact for targeted adjustment.
Specifications
- Handle: 316 surgical stainless steel, bin-angled tip geometry
- Tips: replaceable low-lead graphite (CPSIA-compliant, exceeds U.S. safety standards for lead content)
- Sterilization: instrument is fully sterilizable per standard dental autoclave protocols
- Designed and assembled in the United States
